Biomedical Sciences program will give you the opportunity to construct your own programme based on personal academic and professional interests. Choosing this program, you will have the possibility of specialising in any aspect of biomedical sciences from molecule, to man, to population.
The program has 8 specializations: Clinical human movement sciences, Drug Safety and Toxicology, Epidemiology, Health Technology Assessment, Immunology and host defence, Medical Neuroscience, Molecular Medicine, Free specialisation
- Clinical Human Movement Sciences -The will teach students all the aspects of the movement sciences, from neural control, to disorders and orthopaedic biomechanics, all with a clinical perspective, to prepare student for an internship and future career in the clinical movement sciences.
- Drug Safety and Toxicology- Within the specialisation, students will learn to study the effect of toxic substances and adverse effects of drugs from molecule to man, to improve patient safety. Students in this specialisation can prepare for a European Toxicology registration, when also performing an internship in the field of toxicology and pursuing with a PhD or obtaining relevant working experience in a company or governmental organization.
- Epidemiology- Within the specialisation, students will learn how to perform population-based research, with respect to data collection, analysis and modelling and get some hands on experience during practicals.
