The Linguistics programme offers you the unique opportunity to make your own program. Radboud University is renowned for its research and teaching in the field of linguistics. All of our courses offer a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge: courses situate insights from linguistic and language acquisition theory within the context of everyday communication and contemporary language use. This content is reflected in General Linguistics where you have the opportunity to develop a unique profile by specialising in your field of interest. Besides that, Radboud University offers three content specific Master's in Language and Communication Coaching, Nederlands als Tweede Taal and Taal- en spraakpathologie (both in Dutch).

General Linguistics The General Linguistics Master’s at Radboud University offers a wide range of advanced topics in fields as diverse as psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, (second) language learning, language description, language testing and linguistic diversity.
Language and Communication Coaching This specialisation combines a solid theoretical basis in Language for Specific Purposes, Second Language Acquisition and Language Testing. It offers you challenging opportunities to design language courses and practise your coaching skills.
Nederlands als Tweede Taal: Docent en Expert (Dutch) The need for scientifically NT2 teachers in the Netherlands is bigger than ever. Society is also interested in experts who study the learning of a second language, the introduction to a new culture and all sorts of related social issues.
Taal- en Spraakpathologie (Dutch) This specialisation trains you to become a researcher in the field of language and speech disorders. You'll study these disorders from linguistic knowledge about normal language and speech behaviour and learn to use advanced techniques to determine disorders and measure progress.

- Proof of proficiency in English;
- IELTS certificate with a minimum of 6 points; TOEFL Internet version at least 80; TOEFL computer version 213; Cambridge Advanced rated "C".

Requirements for language specializations:
• Dutch linguistics: Bachelor program in Dutch language and culture.
• Language and Communication Coaching: Bachelor Programme in Business communications available or English language and culture or equivalent
