Epidemiology programme is a one year programme, english taught, in the University of Maastricht.
The program provides a full spectrum of theoretical knowledge, but also – practical and analytical skills. Students who choose this program will be trained by the best healthcare professionals. All students will know theoretical concepts, methods and techniques and interpretation of epidemiological studies focusing on diagnosis, etiology, and outcome and prognosis of diseases in humans, including the effectiveness of preventive and therapeutic interventions. In addition to the theoretical components of the curriculum used to offer input into some of the main areas of application of epidemiological studies, such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, infectious diseases and musculoskeletal disorders.
The first part of the program is linked to the Master program Health Sciences, while in the second part of the program, students will participate in epidemiological studies.
Location: Maastricht;
Duration: 1 year (full-time) or two years (part-time);
Initial month: September
Possible careers: government institutions, non-profit organizations, universities or other research institutions, clinical or biomedical centers, pharmaceutical companies, academic hospitals, etc.
