Christianity and Society is a master program in English at Tilburg University.

Reflect critically on Christianity in the public space and the tensions that arise in the dialogue with modern society and world religions. The program links theological and religious sources of the past with current social, economic and political issues. Special attention is given to Catholic Social Thought, which deals with issues such as the relation between religion and state, and the contribution of capitalism to justice and happiness.


Location: Tilburg, the Netherlands


Duration: 1 year


Main Subjects: Sources and History of Christianity, Christian Theology: Fundamental Issues and Contemporary Questions, Christianity in Dialogue with the Social and the Economic World


Possible careers: in advisory or management roles in religious organizations and churches, in government organizations and in NGOs, in the fields of media, politics and economic relations


Admission requirements:
•Bachelor's degree from a research university or an equivalent (international) qualification
•Legalized translation of the diploma (if not in English)
•Bachelor's or Master's thesis or an essay completed during your studies
•TOEFL with minimum 90 score or IELTS with minimum 6.5 or CAE or CPE
•Motivation letter
•CV
•Basic knowledge of Christianity and theology
